Her parents separated when Katrina was very young.

Her mother, a Harvard graduate, was a lawyer but later became involved in charity work.

She has seven siblings and was raised in Hawaii and later moved to her mother's home country, England. Her sister Isabel will also be making her debut in Bollywood soon.
